Dr. Jon Wilson OD

Optometrist

Dr. Jon Wilson spent most of his youth growing up in nearby Neola, Utah. After graduating from Union High School, he completed a degree in Human Biology at the University of Utah as a Presidential Scholar. He graduated from Pacific University College of Optometry with honors where he also completed his M.Ed., Visual Function in Learning degree. In 2001, Dr. Wilson returned to join Dr. Scott Kowallis at Roosevelt Vision Clinic and has loved raising his five children here and serving the people of the Uinta Basin. In his time away from the clinic, he enjoys traveling and serving on medical missions, classic cars, activities in the outdoors, and spending time with his wife and family.
Dr. Jason Kowallis OD FCOVDR

Optometrist

Dr. Jason Kowallis grew up in Roosevelt and attended Utah State University for his undergraduate degree in Biology. He then attended Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee, graduating in 2012. Post graduation Dr. Kowallis received his fellowship from the College of Optometrists in Vision Development and Rehabilitation and enjoys working with children with learning disabilities, as well as helping those who have experienced concussions. He is also fluent in Spanish from his experience serving the people of the Dominican Republic while on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Outside of work, Dr. Kowallis enjoys spending time in the outdoors with his family, hiking, fishing, and finding the next adventure.

Dr. Carson Summers

Optometrist

Dr. Carson Summers was raised in Rexburg, Idaho, where he developed an interest in eyecare. He completed his bachelor's degree in Biology at Utah State University, followed by attending Midwestern University, Arizona College of Optometry graduating in 2026. Dr. Summers served a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Seoul, South Korea. When not serving his patients with the latest treatments in eyecare, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son, trail running, and keeping up with his favorite sports teams. Dr. Summers and his family are excited to be a part of the Uinta Basin community.
